About the Progressive® Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show®

Welcome to the Water!

On behalf of the entire NMMA Show Team and this year’s exhibitors, welcome to the 58th annual Progressive® Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show®.
Once again this year, you can enjoy the Show at two different venues. New boats, gear and accessories will be showcased indoors at the Los Angeles Convention Center, while sailboats and powerboats 35 feet and larger will be featured in-water at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey. Be sure to visit the new SailFest at Marina del Rey, which features the latest and greatest sailboats along with dozens of booths and exhibits offering sailing gear, accessories and hardware from the industry’s top suppliers.Your ticket allows entry at both locations all day! Take the free
shuttle for easy and comfortable transportation between the LA Convention Center and Marina del Rey. Shuttle stops are located in the Convention Center lobby and at the entrance of Burton Chace Park at the end of MindanaoWay in Marina del Rey.
If you’re new to boating, your first stop should be the Discover Boating Center at the Convention Center. Unbiased professionals will help you determine which type of boat is best for your budget and lifestyle, and you can discover all you want and need to know about boating in Southern California. Get your feet wet at Try It Cove, where you can test your kayaking and stand up paddleboarding skills and learn from instructors. Not ready to leave dry land? Experience exactly how a boat reacts to wind and waves aboard the Sailing Simulator. Little skippers can create nautical works of art in the Kids’ Zone or catch a fish at the Fishing Friendzy Fishing Tank. If you currently own a boat and love DIY-projects, don’t miss Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center. The Show’s seminar program is loaded with programs hosted by experts who will share everything from practical advice to tales from the high seas. The schedule covers a variety of topics, including sail and power, anchoring, insurance and finance, sportfishing in California and more. Sailing seminars are being held at SailFest in Marina del Rey and powerboating sessions are being held at the Convention Center. If you’re ready to kick your boating skills up a notch, get out on the water with Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training. These one-hour and three-hour on-the-water workshops are taught by professional skippers.
When you’re ready for a break from shopping the Show, visit the Food Court at the Convention Center for fresh salads, “Dodger Dogs,” Mexican food and more! A few of L.A.’s famous gourmet Food Trucks will be parked at Marina del Rey to serve up their fabulous fare.

We hope you enjoy exciting Los Angeles and your time with us at the Show. We think you’ll agree that life is better on a boat!

Yours sincerly,

Dave Geoffroy
