Experience how a boat reacts to wind and waves and learn how to use the tiller with the help of an ASA certified instructor. Designed and built by a nuclear physicist, the sailing simulator recreates the actual movement of a boat under sail so you can get a feel for the water, without getting wet. It’s a unique training platform for sailors of all abilities - whether you’re just learning how to sail and or an experienced sailor who wants to practice under different sailing conditions.
Don't miss your chance to climb aboard for a test sail at SailFest at Marina del Rey.
Let’s get creative! Kids will be able to “build” and decorate their own wooden boat to take home. These boats will be a great souvenir of your family time together at the Show for years to come.
Want the kids to try a water activity? Visit Try It Cove, which features stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and more! Be sure to bring your suit and a towel; we’ll provide the equipment and instruction. Don’t miss your chance to catch a fish at the Fishing Friendzy Fishing Tank. The Sailing Simulator gives young skippers a chance to try sailing and experience how a boat reacts to wind and waves—without getting wet. Remember, Show admission is free for kids 15 and younger.
