Come Aboard as the 2014 Progressive Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show Showcases Best In Boating February 6-9, 2014
Experience West Coast’s ultimate boating event returning to the LA Convention Center and in-water at Pier 44 in Marina del Rey

The 2014 Progressive Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show cruises into the Los Angeles Convention Center and Pier 44 in Marina del Rey February 6-9, 2014 with more boats and more reasons to celebrate the boating lifestyle. Expanding into three halls at the LA Convention Center and more boats dropping anchor at the in-water location, the four-day event will feature hundreds of new boats , from entry-level family cruisers to million dollar yachts, plus thousands of the newest marine accessories and gear, to board and buy.

 
“Boating participation is at an all-time high in the US, and everyone can experience the benefits of the boating lifestyle at the Progressive Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show. The annual event serves as a one-stop-shop for all boating needs and is an ideal place to find incredible deals on current marine inventory in the region,” said Dave Geoffroy, VP, Executive Director, NMMA West.
 
Attendees can get an up-close look at boats of all sizes and price ranges including sport fishing vessels, brokerage yachts, performance boats, sailboats, ski boats, cruisers, jet skis, pontoons, motorboats, catamarans, cabin cruisers, inflatables, canoes, kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) and more. The event also offers daily education for boaters of every skill level, including on-water training and “test drives” aboard boats at the Marina del Rey location. 
 
The 2014 event is also launching Big Boat Row for those with a taste for luxury, a chance for the kids to fish for live trout, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) for fitness buffs, and the jaw-dropping Swampmaster Gator Show.
 “Last year’s attendance saw a sixty-four percent increase over the previous year.  With the addition of multiple new attractions for people of all ages and boating experience levels, we expect to see more visitors at the 2014 event,” noted Geoffroy.
 
The 2014 Progressive Insurance Los Angeles Boat Show is action-packed. Highlights include:
 
  • Try-it Cove – get on the water, indoors:activities include stand up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking and more. 
  • New! Big Boat Row: See a spectacular fleet of big boats standing more than 35 feet in length.
  • New!  101 Seminars: basic information for new boaters about choosing the right boat, securing financing and insurance, where to boat in California, wakesports demos, and more!
  • New! Kids’ Zone: RC sailboats, surfing simulator, toy boat building, balloon artists, and Radio Disney will broadcast live from the show.
  • Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training: boaters of all ages and experience levels can get behind the helm during a series of on-water workshops taught by USCG-certified captains.
  • Fred's Shed Interactive Learning Center: hands-on clinics for the DIY boater
  • Welcome to the Water Center: resources for those looking to get started in boating.
